Jamie Ekatomatis serves as the Program Manager for the Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) and Senior Associate for Leadership Programs. In that capacity, Jamie directs IEL’s flagship leadership development program with a strong network of nearly 6,800 alumni and current fellows across the country and coordinates related leadership and policy initiatives. EPFP works as a partnership between IEL and multiple state-based sites.
Prior to joining IEL, Jamie worked for nine years in an outreach and leadership development capacity with several national advocacy and membership organizations dedicated to improving the lives of low-income women and children. Her leadership development experience includes serving as the coordinator of the Progressive Leadership and Advocacy Network (PLAN) at the National Women’s Law Center. PLAN recruits and supports new leaders for low-income women’s advocacy and offers them in-depth training and networking opportunities. Early in her career, she also supported the work of the Emerging Leaders in Child Care and Early Education Program at the Children’s Defense Fund.
Jamie holds a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development in Education Policy Studies from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Stefani is the Program Associate for Leadership Programs at IEL. She works on the Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP), the Lumina Project and the SPARK/DC Leadership Learning Circle. Her duties include providing administrative, logistical, and programmatic support for meetings, research, and the EPFP Web site.
Stefani’s prior work experiences include serving: as the Co-Director of Students for Equity and Diversity for the Multicultural Information Center at the University of Texas at Austin; as a Teacher with Breakthrough Austin; as the Grants and Contracts Writing Assistant for the Population Research Center at the University of Texas at Austin; and as an Orientation Advisor in the New Student Services Office of the University of Texas at Austin.
Stefani has a B.A. in Government from the University of Texas, Austin.
