The South Carolina EPFP site is home to Fellows from a variety of organizations. Fellows come from local schools, school district offices, the state department of education, other state agencies, and local and state nonprofit organizations. The site is hosted by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. Other partners are the SC Education Oversight Committee, SC State Department of Education, SC School Boards Association, SC Chamber of Commerce, Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, and Clemson University.

The purpose of SC EPFP is to strengthen the state’s corps of community, civic, and educational leaders and thereby to contribute to the quality of education policy formulation in the state. The site aims to produce graduates who are more aware of effective leadership qualities, knowledgeable of policy issues and processes, and connected to a professional network of Fellows and other state leaders.  The program serves as a forum for identifying and raising public and professional attention to issues of salience to program sponsors and to develop over time a critical mass of Fellows who can apply enhanced levels of knowledge, communications, trust and focused energy to the challenge of state education policymaking and reform. More information about the site can be found at www.scasa.org
